Dayton Justice of the Peace Camille Vecchiarelli and her longtime boyfriend Russell Harig will tie the knot on Robinson Street today at the start of the Nevada Day parade.
Engaged for two years, Camille said they were looking for the perfect time to make the big leap. Because they always have a large gathering of friends with them at the Nevada Day parade, they decided to take advantage of the ready-made reception.
"Once the fly-over goes over, about three, four minutes later you can start hearing the parade. We are going to do it as soon as the fly-over passes so when the parade gets to us we'd already be married," she said.
In attendance will be numerous family and friends, along with Camille's daughters Ariel, 19, and Chelsea, 17, and Russell's sons Nathan, 13, and Joshua, 11.
A second marriage for both, Camille, 46, said she'll be wearing a white cocktail dress, while Russell, 42, a finish carpenter, will be decked out in 1800s Western garb.
The service will be officiated by Senior Justice of the Peace Edward R. Johnson on the Robinson Street lawn of the Nevada State Museum.
