Almeda E. Allen

Almeda E. Allen, 94, of Carson City, died Aug. 31, 2009, at Evergreen Health and Rehab Center. She was born July 9, 1915, in Butte, Mont., to John and Viola (Brecktel) Peshak. She was preceded in death by her husband Pat in 1990 and son Michael in 1942. She is survived by son John P. Allen of Honolulu, Hawaii; sons and daughters-in-law Bernard and Patricia Allen, and Ronald and Susan Allen, all of Carson City; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9 at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. Interment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Nevada State Railroad Museum. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
