Carson City Health Department's food-service inspections for the week of Aug. 21-24 (all scores are on a 100-point scale, with points deducted depending on the severity of violations):

BODINE'S CASINO SPORTS BAR, 5650 S. Carson St., scored 93 points. Readily perishable cold food was found above 46 F. The milk and whipped cream in the reach-in under-counter refrigerator were above 46 F and were not being maintained at 40 F or below. These items were discarded on the spot. The inside food contact surfaces of the ice machine contained debris buildup and must be cleaned.

BODINE'S CASINO MAIN BAR, 5650 S. Carson St., scored 98 points. Food contact surfaces of the speed gun holster contained debris buildup.

BODINE'S CASINO RESTAURANT, 5650 S. Carson St., scored 97 points. In-use dispensing utensils are not stored properly. Specifically, a serving spoon in the pizza area was found in a container of water with no running water to sweep the debris away. Food contact surfaces of the top inside of the ice machine contained debris.

ARCO AM/PM #82392, 720 S. Carson St., scored 99 points. No-smoking signs were not posted as called for in Nevada Revised Statutes.

APPLEBEE'S NEIGHBORHOOD GRILL & BAR LOUNGE, 3300 S. Carson St., scored 99 points. Food establishments which sell alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises are required to post signs concerning birth defects. No sign was posted at this establishment.

APPLEBEE'S NEIGHBORHOOD GRILL & BAR RESTAURANT, 3300 S. Carson St., scored 98 points. In-use dispensing utensils were not stored properly. The utensils at the cooking line were found in the dipper wells with no sweep-water on. No-smoking signs were not posted at each entrance.
