An autographed motocross helmet signed by pro riders: Brock Glover, Andrew Short, Mike Alessi, Trey Canard, Ivan Tedesco, Josh Grant, and Chad Reed will be raffled off on Saturday during the motocross freestyle event to benefit long-time Gardnerville resident Peggy Pedrojetti.

The helmet also includes autographs from legends Dick Mann and Roger DeCoster.

During the freestyle event introductions, it will be signed by Mike Mason, Dustin Miller, Adam Jones, and Matt Buyten.

Tickets are $5 each, or 5 for $20. Raffle will be held at approximately 9:30 p.m. and winner must be present to win.

Pedrojetti slipped and fell last December, fracturing her femur. Five days after the accident, she was hospitalized with a staph infection and soon after found out she had damaged her hip replacement.

After three failed operations, doctors sent her to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

There she underwent two successful operations, one including one which gave her a new hip.

She recently returned home from Minnesota and is on the path to recovery, and hopes to be walking by Christmas.

Thanks to her friends and family, she was able to keep her home and pay her bills over the past eight months.

She thanked the staff and riders of Nevada Motocross Park for being so thoughtful in the donation of all proceeds from the raffle.
