A motorcyclist was killed Thursday when he ran into the back of a truck stopped at a traffic light.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chuck Allen said that about 2 p.m., a Nissan pickup was stopped in the southbound turn lane
on Highway 395 to turn
left onto Sunridge Drive when the motorcyclist
drove into the rear of the pickup.
Truck driver Larry Gist, 40, was unhurt, said Allen.
The motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was taken from the scene to a nearby fire station to await transport to a Reno hospital by helicopter.
He died before the chopper arrived, said Allen.
