B&G Kids Auction & Worlda€™s Greatest BBQ

The a€œnewa€ Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada is now up and running. So many thank-yous are needed to numerous individuals and companies. The club is a valuable part of our community and makes a tremendous impact on the lives of youth within Carson City.

This yeara€™s 16th Annual Kids Auction and the Best BBQ is a family event. Board member Jennifer Russell-Fitzpatricka€™s tireless campaign to help the club has always impressed me. She and her supportive husband Buzz Fitzpatrick have become a dynamic duo organizing this event. Help raise funds for the club and enjoy some great entertainment from local favorite Road Daddy as you dance the night away and taste the best barbecue in the West. Be ready to bid on some unique items during this silent and live auction.

Go on the Web site to view all the notable auction items but here are a few favorites: Eagle Valley Golf Addict, includes two foursomes each month for an entire year a€" one on the East Course and the West Course. Take the Magic Bus and bring 19 friends with you and your appetite and enjoy a fabulous dinner at famous JTa€™s Basque Bar & Dining Room in Gardnerville. Roundtrip transportation is from the Carson Station Casino with hosted cocktails on the magic bus. I love the JT! Or you can jet down to a 49er game in a private plane. It includes two tickets to a 2010 49ers game, a one-night stay in San Francisco, dinner and beverages. If thata€™s not enough, you can also get locked up by Judge Tatro and Sheriff Kenny Furlong as you enjoy dinner in the Carson City jail, an exclusive opportunity to dine in Carson Citya€™s most premiere and usually difficult to get into dining establishment.

She takes care of the mansion with the dignity and professionalism of the job. Helen Wiemer, is the Governora€™s Mansion coordinator. Helen is absolutely the silver lining in making all the events at the mansion a huge success. Join the centennial celebration, which will be celebrated Saturday with an open house at the mansion. Kerri Oxoby Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament

Kerria€™s family continues to share so many dreams with other children in a unique way by supporting two high school seniors each year with a $3,000 scholarship. When grief is turned into a rippling effect of generosity, I have to believe that Kerri is smiling from heaven and knows she, with the help of so many individuals, still impacts those around her.
