Carson High's varsity girls volleyball squad rolled to an easy 25-16, 25-17 and 25-19 Thursday night in the Sierra League opener for both teams.
Carson's JV team improved to 8-0 with a 25-14 and 25-17 win. The freshmen also improved to 8-0 with a 25-5 and 25-10 win.
"We served very well," Carson coach Justin Malley said. "We showed a lot of mental toughness, which is something we talked about this week. As we got leads, we continued to play hard and stuck with it."
Malley praised the serving of Brittany Wyatt and Makayla Drahos, the defense of Alyson Christl and the front-line play of Jeanette Van Sickle and Elysse Virden.
