Film company producing in Dayton
A Reno/Carson City-based film and television company, H & A Productions, is producing a feature film, entitled "Smokin' Spurs," at the historical Odium Hall, (aka) Mia's Restaurant in Dayton, Nevada.
This original comedy was written by Carson City writer Norman Subotky, directed by Carson City's Tyler Bourns, and produced by Washoe Valley's Temma Keatan Hammond. Four-time Emmy Award-winner, Sheldon I. Altfeld, is supervising producer.
The cast will feature a cameo musical performance by award-winning country singer Lacy J. Dalton and local residents of Dayton are serving as supporting cast, along with the acting troupe, "The Cutting Edge" of H&A Productions.
Lego experience at Children's Museum
The Lego Experience Tour will stop at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, 813 N. Carson St., Wednesday and Thursday.
Large Lego structures will be on display, and several tables will be set up for kids to build their own creations and play games.
Hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Admission is $5 adults, $4 seniors, $3 children younger than 14, and free for ages 1 and younger and museum members. Call 884-2226 for information.
