LAS VEGAS (AP) - Dealers negotiating a union contract with the Caesars Palace hotel-casino for almost two years are planning to protest outside the Las Vegas Strip resort.

Transport Workers Union officials say the Thursday demonstration outside the flagship Harrah's Entertain-

ment property will highlight lack of progress on a deal with management.

Shane Kaufmann, a Caesars Palace dealer helping to negotiate the contract, says the roughly 600 dealers want conditions similar to what they had before Harrah's bought Caesars in 2005.

Kaufmann says that includes control of tips and union representation during certain personnel decisions.

Harrah's vice president and spokeswoman Marybel Batjer says both sides have met at least 25 times since dealers voted for the union in December 2007.
