LAS VEGAS - A woman was killed, a pedestrian was badly hurt and two other people were injured in a crash involving an ambulance and an SUV at a downtown Las Vegas intersection Sunday.
Police say the woman who died was a passenger in a 2005 Pontiac Vibe that collided with the American Medical Response ambulance a little before 5:15 p.m. Sunday at Las Vegas Boulevard and Bridger Avenue.
The name of the 66-year-old Las Vegas woman killed in the crash was not immediately made public. Police say she was a passenger in the Pontiac.
A 63-year-old woman on the sidewalk was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The 52-year-old driver of the Pontiac and one of two emergency workers in the ambulance were also hurt.
