RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 26-year-old man has pleaded guilty to three felony charges for his role in the theft of two pricey puppies and the killing of another dog.

Jonathan Paul Johnson of Reno awaits sentencing June 4 after entering the pleas today in Washoe County District Court.

Johnson was accused of supplying his vehicle and acting as the lookout while another man stole the two English bull dog pups from an elderly couple in November 2008.

Another family dog chased the suspects, and was accidentally run over during their getaway.

The 7-week-old puppies stolen from Sparks dog breeders Ross and Arlene Harwood have never been found. They had been expected to fetch up to $1,800 each.

Johnson's friend, a man whose name may be Michael Donica, also has never been found.
