The Nevada Wolf Pack baseball game on Thursday against the Seattle Redhawks has been postponed due to snow flurries and cold weather at Peccole Park.
The game has been rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Friday starting at 12 p.m. The three-game series will conclude on Saturday (12 p.m. start).
The Wolf Pack, which also canceled its game this past Tuesday against UNLV because of cold weather, is 12-11 this season. Seattle, in its first season playing a Division I schedule since 1986 (when the sport was dropped), is 3-17. One of the Redhawks' victories, though, came against the Oregon Ducks. Oregon swept the Wolf Pack in a four-game series March 19-21 in Eugene, Ore.
The Wolf Pack's next game will be the 1,500th Gary Powers' career as head coach. Powers, who became head coach in 1983, is 832-663-4 as the Pack head coach.
The Wolf Pack, which will also play UC Davis on April 5 (2:30 p.m.) and the Triple-A Reno Aces in an exhibition game at Aces Ballpark on April 6 (6:05 p.m.), will open Western Athletic Conference play April 9-11 at New Mexico State.
