RENO (AP) - The National Weather Service says unsettled weather will linger in Northern Nevada and the Sierra for the rest of the work week - but the winds have subsided.
The forecast for the Carson area is for mostly cool and cloudy weather through Saturday, with daytime highs in the 50s. Rain and show showers are expected to return Sunday and Monday.
Around Lake Tahoe snow is expected on-and-off through the week.
Chains or snow tires were required on mountain passes Tuesday, including Interstate 80 over Donner Summit and U.S. 50 over Echo Summit.
