RENO (AP) - A teen has been convicted of murder in the drive-by shooting death of a 16-year-old boy in the parking lot of a Reno McDonald's.

The Washoe District Court jury found the 17-year-old guilty of second-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon on Wednesday.

The boy's older brother testified against him in the case. The brothers were charged after Michael Vega was killed Aug. 26 in the fast-food restaurant parking lot. Vega died after being taken to St. Mary's Regional Medical Center by friends.

Sentencing in the case is set for May 20.
