The following students will represent Carson High School this year at All-State for instrumental performance. There are 17 this year - one of the highest in the state. They are Jessica Calderon, Jennifer Dodge, Stephanie Dodge, Connor Farrell, Samm Gates, Shaolin Gates, Emma Kortemeier, Jared Link, Richard Long, Ariel Sanchez, Michael Smith, Austin Snow, Will Struble, Rachel Thorson, Josh Tucker, Blong Vang and Elizabeth White.

Carson High is sending the largest group it has ever had selected, and also the largest number from any single high school statewide, this year for the NMEA Nevada All State Choir. They are: Elisabeth Linn, Stephanie Kulla, Stephanie Gansberg, Bailey Kahue, Sarah Irvin, Lindsay Burroughs, Allison Cowan, Laura Molencamp, Christina Dietline, Melissa James, Adriana Avitia, Jennifer Lombardo, Juliana Powell, Robbie Shouppe, Brian Lester, Nick Hummel, Josh Peacock, Nate Hazard, Macauley Williams, Shaun Raiche, Michael Smith and Blong Vang.

There has been a change for Carson High School 2010 summer school.
Any current freshman who has failed an English, math, health or computer lit class can take a summer school class for $50 each (maximum of two classes). Upon completion and passing the class or classes with a D or better, the money will be refunded.
Any other student who needs to take a summer school class due to failure, or incoming ninth-graders who want to take health and computer literacy, will be charged $100 for each class and there will be no refund. Applications will be available in May in the guidance office.

Class of 2014 spring orientation will be held Monday, April 19 from
6-8 p.m. in the Carson High Gym. If you have a student who will be in ninth grade at Carson High next year, it is important to attend. Students also are encouraged to attend.

Carson High has just started an Environmental Action Team that is in the process of beautifying the school.
We need any extra gardening tools (rakes, shovels, spades) donated to help our club with this process.
