The Nevada State Museum will host Native American artist Lillian Pitt at 7 p.m. Thursday for a presentation of "She Who Remembers." Lillian's work is featured in Rock Art Perspectives: Pictographs and Petroglyphs, on display in the South Changing Gallery through May 1.

The sculptor and mixed media artist works in clay, bronze, wearable art, prints, and glass.

Pitt is from the Columbia River region of the Pacific Northwest. Her work, drawing on Native American history and tradition, depicts animal characters such as Coyote and the Salmon People, plus legendary characters such as Stick Indians and She Who Watches. The talk will be about remembering her ancestors, the river, and how her artwork honors them.
