The Carson Sertoma Club's "Family Fun Night of Music"arrives Saturday food, music, prizes and lots of fun.
Proceeds benefit the Carson School For the Hard of Hearing, and local children's support groups for cancer and diabetes.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with lots of fun happenings from 6:15-9:30 p.m. at the Carson Senior Citizens Center.
"It's just good ole, good music," said Frank Taylor, president of the Carson Sertoma Club.
Featured performers will be Chris Bayer's ragtime band Large Bills Accepted, the Chorus of The Comstock singing barbershop and patriotic songs, David Bugli and his jazz group Millennium Bugs, and Bob Carroll of KUNR offering "The Music of America" - big bands, ballads, blues, and Broadway.
"We're offering this varied program by these fabulous groups to provide music of all genres suitable for the entire family," Taylor said.
Also included will be a tri-tip steak dinner with dessert, hors d'ouvres, door and raffle prizes, a silent auction, and a no-host table for drinks.
Raffle and auction items include numerous food and gift baskets from most local casinos and restaurants, wine, salon services and many more.
Ticket prices are $25 general, $20 for seniors and students, at the door or in advance from Pip Printing, Q's BBQ Restaurant, Decades Lounge, or by calling 885-7579.
