RENO - Douglas High continued its roll through the Sierra League with a doubleheader sweep of Wooster on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers won the opener 11-0 in six innings and the second game 14-3, as Kaylee Duryee picked up both pitching wins.
Douglas improved to 11-4 overall and 10-2 in league. Wooster dropped to 1-11 in league.
In the opener, Douglas broke open a scoreless tie with seven runs in the fifth inning and four more in the sixth inning.
Naomi Roberts and Nicole Chavez contributed two-run singles in the fifth, while Morgan Blomstrom hit a two-run homer in the sixth.
Brenna White, Maddy Gilbert and Katrina Morgan all had two hits in the win.
Wooster took a 2-0 lead after two in the second game. The Tigers roared back with four in the fourth, three in the fifth and seven in the sixth.
Rebecca Trute doubled home two runs in the fourth and two Wooster errors led to the three runs in the fifth. Chavez's three-run homer and a two-run double by Blomstrom were the key blows in the sixth.
Emily Weaver went 4-for-5, while Gilbert, Chavez and Blomstrom added two hits apiece.
COLE NO-HITS BISHOP
DAYTON - Mackenzie Cole fanned 16 batters and pitched a no-hitter to lead the Dayton Dust Devils to a 10-0 nonleague win over Bishop on Saturday afternoon.
Cole faced just two batters over the minimum. One runner reached on a walk and another on an error.
"She threw very well," said Dayton coach Deven Passalacqua. "It is probably the best she's thrown all year."
Natasha Wells, who went 2-for-3, ended the game in the sixth when she homered to make it 10-0. Mariah Collins went 3-for-3, while Taylor Hayes and Cole added a hit each. Cole also had an RBI.

CARSON GIRLS 5TH,
BOYS 8TH
Both of Carson High's track squads both finished in the top 10 at the Thunder Invitational in Rocklin, Calif., on Saturday.
The girls were fifth with 31. Douglas finished first with 60 followed by Del Oro 57, Rocklin 39, Lincoln of Stockton 37 and Carson 31. Lincoln of Stockton won the boys meet with 79 points followed by Rocklin 53, Spanish Springs 36, Franklin of Elk Grove 35, Durham 31, Douglas 30, Oakmont 24 and Carson 22.
In frosh-soph action, the Carson girls were fourth with 47 and the boys were 20th with 3.
Eric Garcia won the pole vault, clearing 14-feet 1-inch. Teammates Cameron Childers and Anthony Winder were fifth and ninth, respectively. Luke Carter took second in the 300-meter hurdles in 40.88 and was seventh in the 110 high hurdles in 16.55. Nick Bukowy took fifth in the shot put with a heave of 45-1. Blake McCoy was ninth in the discus with a mark.
In frosh-soph boys, Jacob McClelland was fifth in the discus (99-1) and ninth in the shot (38-11). Andrew Johnson was sixth in the long jump at 17-41⁄4.
Julianne King took second in the 400 (1:04.27), while Hannah Dudley was seventh in the shot (29-6), won the discus (108-7), was fifth in the long jump (14-8 1/2) and 10th in the 200 (27.67). Amber Karnofel was sixth in the 3,200 (12:14.63) and eighth in the 1,600 (5:47.44).
Kenzie Tillett won the frosh-soph triple jump at 30-2, was second in the 100-meter hurdles (18.13), fifth in the 300 hurdles (52.37) and fourth in the long jump 14-9. Madison Saarem was fifth in the pole vault (7-0) and seventh in the long jump (12-0). Makaya Ragone was third in the shot (26-7 1/2) and third in the discus (72-4).
VARSITY BASEBALL
SPARKS, YERINGTON SPLIT
Yerington scored three in the first inning and held on for a 7-4 win over Sparks in the first game of their Northern 3A doublehader Saturday in Yerington.
Jarrod Adams and Michael Garner led Yerington with two hits and two RBIs apiece, while Kenny Skalla, Burke Bristol and Cole Aiazzi drove in a run each. Adams had a two-run double in the first.
Aiazzi picked up the win in relief, allowing a run and hit in 4.1 innings.
In the nightcap, Sparks scored a run in the top of the seventh to snap a 2-all tie and win 3-2. An error allowed Martin Jordan to score the winning run.
Andrew Garick outdueled Bristol for the win. Garick fanned seven and walked three.
JV BASEBALL
CARSON SWEEPS DAMONTE
Carson rallied for seven runs in the fifth to wipe out a 9-2 deficit and beat Damonte Ranch 13-10 in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader at Ron McNutt Field.
In the second game, Carson snapped a 1-all tie in the sixth on a double by Bruce McIntosh to win 2-1.
Carson improved to 11-5 overall and 8-4 in league play.
Casey Wolfe keyed the big rally in the first game with a two-run single. Wolfe and Luke Maher each collected two hits. Maher picked up the win with two scoreless and hitless innings of relief.
Wolf pitched the entire second game, allowing seven hits and striking out five.
