Hawks 104, Bucks 96
MILWAUKEE (AP) - Joe Johnson scored 31 points to help the Atlanta Hawks beat the Milwaukee Bucks 104-96 in a matchup between potential first-round playoff opponents Monday night.
Marvin Williams added 18 points for the Hawks, who had six players score in double figures and continued to solidify their spot as the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference.
John Salmons scored 28 and Brandon Jennings added 21 in the regular-season home finale for the Bucks. Jennings was 2 for 11 from 3-point range.
It was the second straight matchup with a potential first-round opponent for the Bucks, who lost to Boston on Saturday. Milwaukee dropped into sixth place in the East, a game behind fifth-place Miami, which beat Philadelphia 107-105.
The Bucks and Heat each have one game remaining - and Milwaukee holds the tiebreaker.
Heat 107, 76ers 105
PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Dwyane Wade scored 30 points and made the big assist to Udonis Haslem for the go-ahead basket with 1.3 seconds left, lifting Miami over Philadelphia.
Andre Iguodala tied it at 105 for the Sixers on a 3-pointer with 20 seconds left. But the Heat, playing for fifth place in the East, weren't about to go down against one of the worst teams in the NBA.
Wade scored several clutch baskets late in the fourth, but it was his drive-and-dish to Haslem in the corner that was the difference. Haslem nailed the winner.
Iguodala fired a last-chance air ball and the Sixers lost their home finale.
Quentin Richardson had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Heat.
Raptors 111, Pistons 97
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Andrea Bargnani had 33 points, Amir Johnson scored a career-high 26 and Toronto improved its playoff prospects by beating Detroit to snap a five-game losing streak.
Toronto moved within a half-game of the Bulls for the final postseason spot in the Eastern Conference.
The Raptors, who close the season Wednesday at home against New York, will earn a playoff berth if they end the season tied with Chicago, which finishes against Boston and at Charlotte.
Detroit's Charlie Villanueva guaranteed a victory on his Twitter account Monday afternoon, then scored 16 points in the team's home finale. Ben Gordon had 24 for the Pistons, whose miserable season ends Wednesday at Milwaukee.
Magic 118, Pacers 98
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Vince Carter scored 21 points to help Orlando beat Indiana for its fifth straight win.
Jameer Nelson had 15 points, eight assists and seven rebounds, and Rashard Lewis scored 14 points for the Magic. Matt Barnes had 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Dwight Howard added 12 points and 11 boards.
A.J. Price scored 19 points, and Danny Granger and Mike Dunleavy added 18 for the Pacers in their home finale. Indiana had won four straight and 10 of 12 overall.
Orlando outscored Indiana 32-16 at the free throw line and outrebounded the Pacers 67-44.
Bobcats 105, Nets 95
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Stephen Jackson had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Charlotte got a big game from its bench to beat New Jersey in the Nets' final game at the Izod Center in the Meadowlands.
Gerald Henderson led the bench crew with 14 points, while fellow reserve Tyrus Thomas added 13 and D.J. Augustin 11.
With Miami's win over Philadelphia earlier, the Bobcats were cemented into the No. 7 playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They will meet the defending conference champion Orlando Magic in the first round this weekend.
Devin Harris had 22 points for the Nets, who will play the next two seasons at the Prudential Center in Newark before moving into a new arena in Brooklyn in 2012.
The victory was the ninth in 12 games for the Bobcats.
Knicks 114, Wizards 103
NEW YORK (AP) - Danilo Gallinari scored all of his 24 points in the second half, David Lee had 26 and New York rallied past Washington in its final home game of the season.
Sergio Rodriguez added all of his 12 points in the fourth quarter, sparking the key spurt midway through the period, as the Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak. Toney Douglas scored 16 and Chris Duhon 14.
Lee shot 12 of 18 in what could have been his final home game with the Knicks, but he was on the bench in the fourth quarter, when New York made 10 of its first 14 shots and surged ahead after trailing most of the night.
Mike Miller scored 23 points for the Wizards, who end their woeful season Wednesday against Indiana.
Spurs 133, Timberwolves 111
SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Keith Bogans scored 17 points and San Antonio kept control of its playoff future with a win over Minnesota.
Tim Duncan had 16 points before the Spurs emptied their bench early and stayed on track to avoid the dreaded No. 8 seed in the Western Conference and a first-round meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Spurs can clinch at least the No. 7 seed with a win in their regular-season finale Wednesday against Dallas - a game that could also be a playoff preview.
Sasha Pavlovic led the Timberwolves with 16 points. Minnesota (15-66) has one chance left to avoid tying the franchise record for fewest wins.
Nuggets 123, Grizzlies 101
DENVER (AP) - J.R. Smith scored 26 points and Denver broke out of its offensive funk with a victory over Memphis.
With their biggest output in a month, the Nuggets also got 21 points from Carmelo Anthony and 20 from Nene, both of whom sat out the fourth quarter while watching Smith and Aaron Afflalo, who scored 22 points and pulled down a career-best 13 rebounds.
Now, the Nuggets are off to Phoenix for a crucial game in their season finale Tuesday night.
A win would secure their second straight Northwest Division title, at least the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference playoff bracket and home-court advantage in the first round.
Rockets 117, Kings 107
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Kevin Martin scored 39 points for Houston in a triumphant return to Sacramento.
The final home game of the season was not a complete loss for the Kings, who got to see rookie Tyreke Evans reach an exclusive milestone. By scoring 24 points, Evans assured himself of joining Oscar Robertson, Michael Jordan and LeBron James as the only rookies in NBA history to average at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists a game.
But Evans couldn't keep up with his former backcourt mate Martin, who led the Kings in scoring the past three seasons before getting traded to Houston in February.
Martin shot 11 for 20 and made all 16 of his free throws. Trevor Ariza added 29 points, including two key 3-pointers down the stretch that helped ensure the Rockets (42-39) will finish with a winning record.
Trail Blazers 103, Thunder 95
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Marcus Camby scored a season-high 30 points and pulled down 13 rebounds, and Portland beat Oklahoma City without injured guard Brandon Roy.
The loss locked the Thunder into the eighth spot in the Western Conference, meaning they'll face the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the playoffs.
Roy announced shortly before the game that he had a torn meniscus in his right knee that will also keep him out of Portland's regular-season finale Wednesday night against Golden State. Beyond that, the three-time All-Star's status for the playoffs is uncertain.
If the Blazers win their final game, they are assured the No. 6 seed in the West. If San Antonio wins its finale and Portland loses, the Spurs get the sixth seed.
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 30 points.
Mavericks 117, Clippers 94
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Dirk Nowitzki scored 25 points in 22 minutes, Shawn Marion added 21 points in his return from an injury and Dallas kept a firm grip on the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs by beating Los Angeles.
Jason Kidd had 12 points and 12 assists for the Mavericks, who blew out the lifeless Clippers with a 37-point first quarter on the way to a 64-43 halftime lead.
Dallas (54-27) has won four straight and seven of nine while holding off Denver (53-28) and Phoenix (52-28) in the race behind the Lakers.
The Mavericks end the regular season at home against San Antonio on Wednesday.
Chris Kaman had 17 points and seven rebounds for the Clippers, who played without starting guards Baron Davis and Eric Gordon. Los Angeles has lost eight of nine and 18 of 21 at the close of their 17th losing season in 18 years.
Dallas finished with the NBA's best road record at 27-14, a mark Cleveland and Boston can match with wins in their season finales.
