RENO - Cole Gillespie went two-for-three with a triple and a single, but the Aces couldn't mount a rally against the Salt Lake Bees bullpen in a 6-4 loss Tuesday night at Aces Ballpark.

Kevin Mulvey started for Reno, tossing three innings and allowing just two runs (one earned). Jose Marte (0-1) took the loss after allowing three earned runs in two innings of relief.

Trailing 5-2 in the sixth inning, Reno put together a rally that started with three-straight walks, but could muster just a pair of sacrifice flies in the inning to cut the deficit to 5-4. Salt Lake added an insurance run in the seventh, and that was all the Bees' bullpen would need, as three Salt Lake relievers would hold the Aces hitless through the final 3.2 innings of the game.

Reno and Salt Lake continue the series this afternoon. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. at Aces Ballpark.
