Nevada Women's History Project will host a tour April 24 of three barns that were built around 100 years ago.

The Trimmer Ranch One Barn, 197 Genoa Lane, Genoa, is owned by J.B. and Lisa Lekumberry, Terri and Corey Billman, and Sheri and Dan Walters. It was built in 1874 in the "bank a' hill, stone to weather" style, where one end of the barn is nestled into the hill so the harvest can be taken directly into the loft without using a hoist. Coffee and scones will be served by our hosts.

The Hietman/Brunelle Barn, at 1290 Centerville, Minden, was built in late 1800s by a Scandinavian family who constructed a barn a week. It is owned by Paul and Sue Brunelle.

The Pedrojetti Barn, at 917 Highway 88, Gardnerville, was built in 1921 and is now owned by Ed and Linda Kleiner. Baby owls can be found at this barn housing the Comstock Seeds business.

A winetasting with hors d'oeuvres will follow the tour at the beautiful Tahoe Ridge Winery, 123 Main St., Minden.

Tickets are $25. A limited number of tickets will be sold. For reservations and information, call 775-883-9035.
