Obituary: Allene "Bambi" Forman

Allene "Bambi" Forman, 87, ended her journey on earth, on Monday, April 12 at

approximately 4 a.m., with her loyal caregiver, Dulce, by her side.

Allene was born August 20, 1922, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John and Ida Conrad. She

was one of nine siblings including her twin brother Allen Conrad. Bambi attended White

Pine High School where she was White Pine High School's majorette.

On October 6,1946, Bambi married her honey Milton Robert Forman and together had

two beautiful daughters Shirley Forman Oxoby and JoAnn Forman Landes. With children

in tow, Milt and Bambi traveled around the world and made their homes in Tokyo, Japan

and Istanbul, Turkey. Once back stateside Milt and Allene made their home in Carson

City where Allene was a stay-at-home mother and also offered her secretarial

services, pro bono, at her husband's State Farm office.

In Allene's free time she was a member of the Women's Business and Professional

Association as well as practiced in the fine art of ornamental Japanese flower

arrangements. Allene was a lover of fitness and often attended aquacize and aerobics

classes. She was also known to do the splits well into her late 60s. One of Allene's

greatest physical accomplishments was hiking Mt. Lassen at the age of 74.

Allene was at her best when caring for her family, often disregarding her own needs. She

is survived by her twin brother Allen Conrad, daughter's Shirley Oxoby and her husband

Steven Oxoby, JoAnn Landes and her husband Frank Landes, grandchildren Eileen,

Lyndi, Padraic, and Jacob, great-granddaughter Cooper Ann, her caregiver and friend

Dulce Raymundo.

She will be met in the afterlife, by her honey Milton Robert Forman, granddaughter

Kerri Ann Oxoby as well as her menagerie of animals including Maxine, Brandy, Willie,

and Bunky.

A memorial service will be held at Walton's Chapel of the Valley on Friday, April 16 at

11 a.m. Burial will be held immediately after at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
