A race of blacks has been discovered in the interior of Australia who have said to have never seen a white man before. They will probably have reason, ere long, to wish that their ignorance had remained unbroken.

Manager Ballard of the Hot Springs was reporting to the city today about the newly renovated bus, which is certainly attractive since the painter's interview with it. Ballard also reports the name has been changed from Shaw's Hot Springs to Carson Hot Springs. Work will start on a general overhauling in the next month.

70 YEARS AGO

One of the features connected with the play presented at the civic auditorium was fine organ music between acts by Leona Frichette on a Hammond organ. This feature was given with the compliments of Harold Berger at the Capital Bar.

A British woman is "going like a jackrabbit" in her walk across Nevada, covering some 107 miles in 17 hours in one day. The plucky 56-year-old woman planned to cover 72 miles today.

Bordewich Elementary is participating in a project to help a

7-year-old boy who is terminally ill be in the Guinness Book of World Records for breaking the record for the most get well cards received. He needs to get 1,265,000 cards to break the record.

10 YEARS AGO

The Carson City Fairground User's Coalition has a $3 plan to upgrade the fairgrounds using money from sale of land to Costco to do it.
