SEATTLE - The Nevada Wolf Pack baseball team is going to miss seeing the Seattle Redhawks on its schedule this season.

The Wolf Pack beat the Redhawks, a team playing its first baseball season since 1986, 4-1 on Sunday to sweep the three-game series at Bannerwood Park in front of just 123 fans. The Wolf Pack, now 20-13-1 and winners of four in a row, went 6-0 against the inexperienced Redhawks this year.

The Wolf Pack, which pounded out 29 hits and 33 runs in winning the first two games of the series (11-5, 22-0), had just four hits in the series finale. The final game of the series on Sunday took just 2:06 to complete as both teams combined for just six hits.

The Pack tied the game at 1-1 in the fourth inning as Westley Moss walked and stole second (his 16th steal of the year). Nick Melino brought home Moss with a run-scoring single.

The Pack scored three runs in the sixth inning without the benefit of a hit. Seattle pitchers hit two, walked two and the Redhawks made a costly error in the inning. Kevin Rodland and Brock Stassi were hit by a pitch and Melino and Brian Barnett each walked with the bases loaded. Stassi also scored in the inning on a wild pitch.

Joe Kohan had two of the Pack's four hits in the game. Shaun Kort and Melino had the other Pack hits.

Seattle's offense, though, could mange just two hits off Pack pitchers Stassi (eight innings) and Tyler Graham (one).

Stassi, now 5-3, overpowered the Redhawks hitters, striking out six. Graham threw 11 of his 13 pitches for strikes in the ninth in picking up his fourth save.

The Redhawks, hitting .239 as a team coming into the game, had just three hits over the final two games of the series. Chris Garcia (five innings, no hits) and Tom Jameson (four innings, one hit) combined for one-hit the Redhawks on Saturday.

Arlo Evasick, now 1-7, suffered the loss.

Seattle, now 4-26 this season, is playing a Division I, non-league schedule this season. The program hopes to join the West Coast Conference in the future.

The Wolf Pack will host UC Davis Tuesday night ( 6 p.m.) at Peccole Park. The Pack returns to Western Athletic Conference play on Friday night (6 p.m.) in the first game of a four-game series against Fresno State at Peccole Park.
