Jason King named NV state engineer

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Jason King has been named Nevada state engineer.

The appointment was announced Monday by Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Director Allen Biaggi.

King has been serving as acting state engineer, filling in for Tracy Taylor who has health concerns. Biaggi says Taylor will become deputy state engineer.

Biaggi says King's appointment was made after consulting with Gov. Jim Gibbons and Leo Drozdoff, who will be taking over as acting director of the department next month when Biaggi retires.
