Dayton Grad Night Fundraiser

The goal of Safe Grad Night is to insure, with the help of the community, that the students have the opportunity to celebrate their success in a safe, controlled, drug-free environment.

All 2010 graduates of Dayton High can attend this event at the Incline Community Center following graduation on June 4. Graduate attendees will enjoy a night of swimming, games, food, gifts, and activities (including a Velcro wall). In addition to supporting the event by dining at the Pizza Factory on Friday, community and businesses can contribute directly to the committee by contacting Carol Goodfellow at 246-2909. Each local high school has a Grad Night.

I really support these annual events in keeping children safe. You can donate to Douglas and Carson High schools' Safe Grad Nights too.

Technology night

There will be a variety of student work exhibits. There will also be numerous hands-on activities including: CO2 drag races, egg crash test, car testing, bridge building, paper airplanes, k'nex, legos, robotics, etc. Businesses and hobbyist from the community will be there to share how they use various technologies. The public is welcome to attend this free, fun event. If anyone is interested in participating they should e-mail Lisa Stocke. Bring your techno and hobby platform to the community and children in a fun and safe way. The drag races should be great to watch for any age group.

WHAT: Bring the family and check out the local technology and hobbies in the area.

The Pink Totties fundraiser

This annual event helps support the local Susan G. Komen Foundation and also the Carson City Relay for Life program. Both causes assist local men, women and children fighting all forms of cancer. The Pink Totties always make this event fun, serving the locals with a smile and a wink. So head down to D'Vine Wine and support the girls in their fight against cancer.

WHAT: Wine, appetizers, raffle and silent auction includes a ton of prizes such as: condo stay at Thunderbird Resort in Reno, Scott Harvey Winery Magnum of Zinfandel and Private Reserve Tasting gift certificate, Fetch Pet Care gift certificate, Harrah's overnight stay and show package, and many more

COST: Tickets are $35 and includes six tastings and appetizers.
