The doors to three businesses will open inside the Carson Mall this week.
After more than a year in the making, the owners of Paradise Cove will open their restaurant on Saturday and stage a grand opening on Monday.
Co-owners Doug Cramer and his wife Jamesa own Mom and Pop's Diner, too.
He said they are inviting people to come to the restaurant on Saturday and Sunday for a soft opening, adding they won't turn away customers who walk in off the street.
"It's been so long," Cramer said. "It's taken a year and a half to get to this spot from the time that I signed my lease. And now I got to make sure I do it right."
Jamesa Cramer also will open the Funky Parrot Gift Shop inside the Carson Mall this weekend. The gift shop will continue the tropical theme inside Paradise Cove and will offer a variety of items such as lotions.
Meanwhile, Bellissimo, a home decor store formerly located in the Topsy Lane shopping center, also will open its new store inside the Carson Mall this week, said Kevin Ray, the property manager for the Carson Mall. He said it should be up and running by the weekend.
"We're so excited to get them open over there," he said.
