The Active 20-30 Club of Carson City is issuing a Call to Action. Club members are seeking young professionals interested in joining them in service through volunteerism.

"There are plenty of children in our community who are in dire need of assistance, and our organization is just the place to get it done," said club member Wesley Deputy. "The Active 20-30 clubs of Nevada boast a long proud history of serving our community through hands-on activities with children and fundraising efforts to benefit the kids in our area."

The membership drive includes a blast from the past with an '80s night theme from 8-10 p.m. April 30 at Jimmy G's Cigar Bar, 311 N. Carson St. Those who attend are encouraged to "rock your vintage-era threads while deejay C Styles spins all the great tunes that we know, love or forgot about," Deputy said.

A raffle will be offered with all proceeds to promote the club's mission within the community.

For more information, call Rachel Deputy at 450-3403.
