LAS VEGAS (AP) - A lawyer for a former Las Vegas cocktail waitress alleges that key videotape evidence in the woman's civil lawsuit against Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons was altered.

Chrissy Mazzeo's attorney, Robert Kossack, claims in court documents that two minutes and 11 seconds were cut from a security videotape taken from a parking garage where Mazzeo alleges Gibbons grabbed her after a night of drinking with friends at a Las Vegas restaurant in 2006.

The governor's lawyers call the claim "rank speculation." They say neither Gibbons nor Mazzeo appear in any video footage.

Kossack is fighting a move by Gibbons' lawyers to get a federal judge to dismiss Mazzeo's lawsuit.

Mazzeo alleges Gibbons led a cover-up of allegations that he grabbed her when he was a Republican congressman campaigning for governor.
