CINCINNATI (AP) - Adrian Gonzalez hit his second career grand slam, Kevin Correia took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and the San Diego Padres extended their winning streak to seven games with a 10-4 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night.

Tony Gwynn Jr. added a two-run homer and Matt Stairs and Everth Cabrera drove in two runs apiece in support of Correia, who didn't allow a hit until Ryan Hanigan led off the sixth with a double to center field.

Correia (3-1) improved to 6-1 in his career against Cincinnati, including 4-1 at Great American Ball Park.

Bronson Arroyo (0-2) started in place of Johnny Cueto and gave up eight runs and eight hits in three innings.

Nationals 5, Dodgers 1

WASHINGTON (AP) - Rookie Luis Atilano pitched six strong innings in his major league debut and Adam Dunn homered twice to lead Washington.

Atilano, a 24-year-old right-hander recalled from Triple-A Syracuse to replace the injured Jason Marquis in the Nationals' rotation, allowed one run and five hits. He walked two and struck out one.

Dunn, who had one homer in Washington's first 16 games, connected off knuckleballer Charlie Haeger (0-2) in successive at-bats - a solo shot to break a 1-all tie in the fourth and a two-run drive in the sixth. It was the 25th multiple homer game of Dunn's career.

Astros 4, Pirates 3

HOUSTON (AP) - Roy Oswalt moved into second place on the Astros' all-time strikeouts list, Carlos Lee had a two-run double and Jeff Keppinger and Pedro Feliz also drove in runs for Houston.

Oswalt (2-2) allowed four hits, struck out four and didn't give up a run until the seventh. Brandon Lyon pitched a perfect eighth and Matt Lindstrom finished up to earn his fifth save.

Oswalt moved past J.R. Richard on the Astros' all-time list with 1,494. Nolan Ryan is the franchise's career strikeouts leader (1,866).

Garrett Jones and Jeff Clement homered for the Pirates. Left-hander Paul Maholm (1-2) gave up four runs on six hits in seven innings.

Houston has won six of eight after an 0-8 start.

Mets 5, Braves 2

NEW YORK (AP) - Ike Davis hit a 450-foot shot for his first major league homer to win a matchup of prize rookies and New York added a crazy run on Chipper Jones' error.

Emergency reliever Hisanori Takahashi (1-1) excelled after John Maine left with an odd injury, helping the Mets win for the fourth time in five games.

Atlanta lost its third in a row. Nate McLouth nearly tied it in the ninth, but his bid for an equalizing, three-run homer off Francisco Rodriguez barely hooked foul. Rodriguez finished for his second save.

Davis delivered a monster drive while Atlanta newcomer Jason Heyward struck out three times in going 0 for 4. Kenshin Kawakami (0-3) took the loss.

Cubs 8, Brewers 1

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Ryan Dempster beat Milwaukee for the fourth consecutive time and Kosuke Fukudome and Tyler Colvin homered to lead the Cubs.

Dempster (2-0) gave up one run on seven hits in 7 2-3 innings. He struck out four and walked one to improve 9-1 in his last 11 starts against Milwaukee. His effort picked up the Cubs who had lost five of the last six games.

Dempster cooled off the Brewers who had outscored the Pittsburgh Pirates 36-1 during a three-game sweep. He didn't allow a runner past second until the seventh when the Brewers pushed across a run on Craig Counsell's pinch-hit double.

Mike Fontenot's one-out RBI-single in the fifth, the Cubs' third consecutive hit, forced Brewers manager Ken Macha to pull Jeff Suppan (0-1) who was booed off the field.

Diamondbacks 7, Phillies 4

PHOENIX (AP) - Mark Reynolds and Adam LaRoche hit consecutive homers during a five-run fourth inning to lead Arizona.

Kelly Johnson added solo shots in the fifth and seventh innings, Chris Snyder also connected in the fourth and Kris Benson threw six-plus strong innings for the Diamondbacks, who won for the second time in three games.

Benson (1-1) allowed the three runs - two earned - on eight hits with five strikeouts. Chad Qualls recorded an out for his third save in five chances.

Shane Victorino was 2 for 5 with a triple and an RBI single for the Phillies.

Cole Hamels (2-2) allowed six runs on eight hits over six innings with a walk and seven strikeouts.
