CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - The Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce is endorsing Republican Brian Sandoval for Nevada governor.
Sandoval is challenging incumbent Gov. Jim Gibbons and former North Las Vegas Mayor Mike Montandon in the June 8 GOP primary.
A former state assemblyman, attorney general and federal judge, Sandoval is considered the Republican front-runner. Clark County Commission Chairman Rory Reid is the leading Democrat in the race.
In a statement issued Tuesday, the Las Vegas business group said Sandoval will bring leadership to the office and be able to work with state lawmakers, businesses and other interests to address Nevada's needs.
