The Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization will stage a "fireside chat" Thursday evening in Incline Village.
The event, which starts at 6:30 p.m. in room 139 of Sierra Nevada College, 999 Tahoe Blvd., will feature a discussion with Jim Croce, president and CEO of NIREC, about green energy and economic growth.
There also will be a tour of the Tahoe Center for Environment Sciences - the state's first LEED Platinum certified building and a discussion of other green initiatives at the campus.
The event is free and open to the public.
