RENO (AP) - Reno-Tahoe International Airport is reporting its biggest monthly passenger count increase in nearly two years.
The more than 361,000 passengers in June marked a 4.1 percent from the same month a year ago, the best monthly gain since August 2008.
Airport Authority President Krys Bart says it's due in part to the fact they continue to add new flights while other airports cut back on service in the face of what she says is "an amazingly turbulent time in the airline industry."
Year-to-date figures for the first half of 2010 totaled 1.92 million passengers, about a 1.1 percent increase from the same period last year.
June's cargo traffic was up 11 percent compared to June 2009.
