Carson Lanes is celebrating its expansion with a grand opening party Saturday and Sunday with discounted bowling, live entertainment, games and more.
Both days will feature $1.50 bowling and shoe rental all day in an attempt to break the world record for the most games bowled in one day.
The 34-year-old Carson Lanes has been transformed since Eugene Burger bought the building in 2002 and built it up from simply a bowling alley to a retail center.
The first phase of the expansion project brought Kernel's Popcorn, Wally's Pizza and Subs, Genoa Candy and Coffee Co. and the hamburger restaurant Johnny Rockets.
It also includes a pool hall, Classic Billiards, and an arcade, along with a complete remodel of the bowling lanes and lounges.
The changes will be showcased at this weekend's "We're So Much More Than Bowling Grand Opening."
