Claudine Kaisi is my manager at Carl's Jr and I could not ask for a better one. She has always helped and has taught me to become a better employee. Anytime I would mess up she would show me the correct way. She work harder then anyone in my work building. I just wanted to say thank you for always being there for me and being a wonder boss all together.

Fishing derby makes happy kids

Once again the Ormsby Sportsman Association, with the support of a few continuing local businesses, had a great donation drive to help the 21st annual Kid's Fishing Derby. We collected and reconditioned 25 used rods and reels to be used as loner equipment, along with 30 brand new rods and reels to be given away, with four new tackle boxes, and seven special prize awards of spin cast rod/reel/tackle combos, for first place winners.

I would like to thank Terry at the Blue Bull Bar, Ed of Ed's Doghouse Bar, Jeff at Farmer's Insurance Agency, Forrest and Cheryl of Goodi's Lemonade, Pete at Iron Horse Cantina, the O.S.A. membership, Cher and Levita at the New Washoe Bar, Tom at Pioneer Crossing Casino, Tom at Rupert's Auto Body, and Dayna at N. Carson City Wal-Mart, for their support on this matter.

Car wash made possible by business

Our soccer teams, Carson City Freedom girls U14 team and Carson City Nemesis boys U12 team, would like to thank the Les Schwab store in North Carson City for providing a location for us to have a car wash. Buck and the crew at Les Schwab went out of their way to accommodate us with a portion of the parking lot to conduct the car wash, allowing us to use their water and also made a nice donation to our teams. Thank you very much.

Quicksilver Agility Club would like to thank the residents of Carson City for their support of Dog Daze of Summer last month at Fuji Park. We appreciate your interest in the variety of dog sports available in the local area. Two of Quicksilver's goals are to promote the sport of dog agility and to educate the public about the sport. We hope we'll see you at more events throughout the year - great fun for you and your dog.

We also would like to thank you all for your support of donations for Pets of the Homeless, a locally based organization that helps provide food and veterinary care for pets belonging to homeless residents. Thanks so much for your donations of cash and pet food.
