Court Chief Justice Ron Parraguirre will host the
Cow County Ball Aug. 28 in Gardnerville.
The ball is a semi annual fund raising event which benefits Volunteer Attorneys for Rural Nevadans (VARN), a tax-exempt non-profit organization, and its Domestic Violence Victim's Assistance Project (DVVAP).
The Cow County Ball will be held at 6 p.m. at the historic Corley Ranch located at 859 Highway 395 South in Gardnerville.The event begins with a dinner catered by the award-winning Gourmet Cowboy, serving up some authentic chuck wagon grub, followed by dancing to the country rock music of Rick Hays & American Steel. There will be raffle prizes and silent auction items, including ski, golf and hotel packages.
The cost of $50 per person in advance or $60 at the door includes dinner, dancing and a hosted bar.
A table for eight can be purchased for $375. There is no charge for children younger than the age of 15.
