Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Modoris Martinez, 42, a transient, was arrested at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of West Nye Lane on suspicion of gross misdemeanor second-offense violation of a protection order. Bail was set at $5,132.

• Kevin Paul Boyd, 45, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 2:58 a.m. Thursday in the 500 block of North Carson Street on a felony warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• A mother on East Nye Lane called police at 2:50 a.m. after she found a 13-year-old boy "hiding" in her house. She locked the boy in the bathroom and figured out he was there to see her 14-year-old daughter. The boy was arrested.

• Report of eggs thrown at a house on Mina Way.

• A real estate agent discovered at 1:23 p.m. windows broken on a home on Tissiac Way.

• A man who ran from officers at 6:15 p.m. on Van Epps Drive was found an hour later hiding in a crawl space. A misdemeanor arrest was made.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report of a man with a knife chasing another man down Amber Street in Silver Springs at 11:22 a.m.

• A Fernley woman reported at 12:48 p.m. the manager of her apartment complex pushed her while she was in the office.

• Residential burglary report on Rawhide Street in Silver Springs at 2:11 p.m.

• A camera was reported stolen from Cottonwood Lane in Fernley at 3:07 p.m.

• Felony arrest on Campfire Circle in Fernley at 4:56 p.m.

• Felony arrest on East Newlands Drive at 6:31 p.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Luzier Lane in Fernley at 9:48 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report at 11:23 a.m. of a bear entering a Sazarac Road home about midnight through a window. The caller stated the window was open six inches, the bear opened it farther without breaking it, and went for the dog food.
