The couple are making plans for an April 30, 2011, wedding in Carson City.
The bride to be is the daughter of Tamara and Dave Smith of Carson City, and Scott and Lancie Martin of Sparks.
She is a 2003 graduate of Carson High School.
The groom to be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Roel of Carson City. He is a graduate of North Salinas High School in Salinas, Calif. He currently works in Sparks as a tec equipment diesel mechanic.
