FALLON (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says a Battle Mountain man was killed and his wife seriously injured when their Harley-Davidson motorcycle crashed down a steep embankment in Churchill County.

Sixty-six year-old Michael S. Jurad died at the scene.

The patrol says 44-year-old Mary Jurad was flown to a Reno hospital and was listed Monday in serious condition.

The accident happened just before 10 a.m. Sunday on State Route 722.

The NHP says the pair was riding with another couple who was ahead of them. After losing sight of the Jurads, they stopped to wait for them, then turned around and discovered the accident scene.
