RENO (AP) - Former Nevada first lady Dawn Gibbons has been named community relations director for Sunbelt Communications.
Gibbons will work out of KSNV-News 3 in Las Vegas, and will begin her new job Oct. 4.
The company announ-ced her appointment Tuesday.
Gibbons says her position will give her an opportunity to interact with many nonprofit groups and other organizations, and showcase the positive work they do for communities around the state.
Gov. Jim Gibbons filed for divorce in May 2008. A judge finalized the divorce in July.
