RENO (AP) - A former Nevada social worker has been sentenced to up to five years in prison for distributing child pornography.
Matthew Samuel Platshorn, 35, was arrested on multiple counts following a 2008 Internet child predator sting operation.
Platshorn had worked at a state-run disability center in Carson City and was fired after his arrest.
He pleaded guilty in March to one count of distribution of child pornography, and was sentenced Tuesday.
