Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• James Valerie, 32, a transient, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. Monday in the 800 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of felony possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of hypodermic needle and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $2,500. Also arrested was Jayne Jaffe, 20, an unemployed transient, on suspicion of gross misdemeanor possession of a prescription drug without a prescription, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and minor consuming. Bail was set at $3,469.
• Ricardo Mata-Lara, 18, a casino worker from Carson City, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. Friday at Rhodes and Carson streets on suspicion of felony conspiracy to violate the uniformed controlled substance act, gross misdemeanor possession of dangerous weapon and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. $15,000. Also arrested was Markoz Dominguez, 25, a landscaper from Carson City, on suspicion of felony sales of a controlled substance, conspiracy to violate the controlled substance act, bail violation. Bail was set at $20,000.
• A 49-year-old elementary school teacher from Carson City was arrested at 7:23 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of North Mountain Street on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and failure to maintain a single lane. She was traveling north on Mountain Street when she struck a parked car. Bail was set $1,209.
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• Two 17-year-old boys were cited for being out past curfew at 1:35 a.m. in the 2900 block of South Curry Street.
• Report of wheels and rims stolen from a back seat in the 300 block of Springview Drive at 12:42 p.m.
• Report of an injured deer in the 500 block of Mountain Street at 2:54 p.m.
Lyon County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• Arrest on East Newlands Drive in Fernley at 3:55 a.m.
• Vehicle burglary report on Beaverhead Lane in Fernley at 2:44 p.m.
• Report of a man missing from Washoe Circle in Stagecoach at 5:22 p.m.
• Vehicle burglary report on Firstdale Way in Fernley at 5:10 p.m.
Storey County
The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Sunday:
• A woman reported at 8:41 a.m. that she'd parked her car behind the Union Brewery the previous evening and now it was gone.
