Rose was born April 7, 1924, in Tonopah to Lena and Augustine Llano. She had a sister a year older than her who passed away at the age of 1. She had a brother two years younger than her, Frank.

Rose and Frank attended Tonopah schools until Rose was in the sixth grade. School houses were mostly two rooms with outdoor outhouses. There were not to many excuses to go to the bathroom on cold winter days. Rose's father died after he was hurt in a car accident. Her mother remarried a very wonderful man, Jack Darnell. They moved a lot, to Hawthorne then to Silver Peak, Nev. When Rose was a freshman at Silver Peak they organized a softball team. They called it the Silver Peak Women's League. Rose was a catcher, a very good one. Her batting average was 367. Rose graduated from Bishop High School in 1943. After graduating she went back to Hawthorne to work as a secretary for the base, she was responsible for shipping and distributing ammunition to the troops. She was there 2 1/2 years.

Rose married her first husband Frank Jenkins. They had one child, Diane, then divorced. Rose met her second husband, Dearld Robison, in Ely while working at JC Penneys. They had four children, Douglas, Janet, Irwin and Craig. Rose's message to young children was "Stay in school and do the best you can."

There will be no service at this time, a celebration of life will be at a later date in Ely. Autumn Funeral and Cremation handled the final arrangements.
