Lyon County 911 up and running

Lyon County 911 is back up and running after losing the ability to make or receive telephone calls about 2 p.m.

Calls were rerouted to Carson City 911 for about an hour.

The Lyon County 911 Center has lost the ability to receive or make telephone calls. Lyon County has notified the telephone company and all 911 calls are being routed through Carson City.

Lyon County officials are advising citizens that cannot get through 911 to go to their nearest Lyon County Sheriff's Substation to report an emergency.

Lyon County is working with the telephone company to determine the source of the problem and make repairs as soon as possible.
