The work already has begun for the Carson Nugget's free Christmas meal on Christmas day.
Diners can expect a menu of slow-roasted turkey, country mashed potatoes with home-style gravy, fresh cranberry sauce, green beans almondine and dessert.
The free meal will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Garden Cafe. After 3 p.m. there is a charge.
The Nugget has served free holiday meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas since the Adams family bought the casino about 62 years ago. This year, they gave away more than 1,000 Thanksgiving meals.
Celebrants also can purchase the Christmas feast at the snack bar.
Or for something different, a holiday meal featuring salmon, bourbon-braised turkey or pasta can be bought at the Nugget Steakhouse.
