(Carolyn erred and had her down for last month), so she would appreciate more presents. Karen Hinton and Margaret Montes also are celebrating their natal days, while Susie and Pete Lusich are celebrating their first anniversary. Congrats. A belated HB to Rose Ascuaga ... C says she's a saint for putting up with that devilish John.

Nichole Hardeman will be home for Christmas. She was just presented the "Blue Jacket" award for excellence at NAS Annapolis. Quite a feat. It's nice to see our service men and women commended for their work.

How about those UConn ladies? A new record of 89 straight wins and going strong. They just broke the UCLA men's record under John Wooden, and deserve our congratulations. Quite the feat. Congratulations, also, to Robin Williamson, our outgoing supervisor, who served Carson City so ably, so long. Good luck in whatever you do.

Great news for the "eating out." Walley's in Genoa has reopened as "Walley's 1862," and will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. They have all kinds of interesting food on the menu, and reservations can be made at 1-888-737-1862. Worth a tasty try per some NDOT employees.
