A Carson City teen wanted in connection with a stabbing and shooting Sunday night surrendered to authorities this morning.

Carson City Sheriff's detectives contacted John "Nubs" Linville, 17, at the home of a friend on Surrey Lane in East Carson City just after 11 a.m.

Linville was wanted for questioning in the Sunday night stabbing of his ex-girlfriend, and the shooting of her father. The stabbing was superficial, and for unknown reasons, the bullet caused no damage to the father, despite being fired at his chest from a close range.

Linville then allegedly fled and has been the subject of a manhunt since.

Linville was taken back to the detective division. He will likely be booked into the adult jail on a charge of attempted murder.

Details will be posted as they become available.
