SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - The San Francisco 49ers have so far given more than $350,000 to a campaign for a new stadium for the team in Santa Clara.

Campaign finance documents filed this week show the team and its stadium corporation contributed $100,000 in cash in November and December to Santa Clarans for Economic Progress, a group of civic leaders running the team's stadium effort. The remaining contribution was in staff time.

Meanwhile, the leading stadium opposition group, Santa Clara Plays Fair, only managed to raise $825 during the same period.

Santa Clarans for Economic Progress has already qualified an initiative for the June 8 ballot to get voter approval for the proposed $937 million stadium next to Great America theme park.

49ers' spokeswoman Lisa Lang says the team plans to continue donating to the group "as necessary."
