Obituary: Bruce E. Hathaway

Bruce E. Hathaway passed away on Jan. 25, 2010. He was 57 years old. Bruce was born Dec. 30, 1952, at Santa Monica hospital to Lee Hathaway and Anna Marie Walters Hathaway. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Bruce worked for Raley's as stocker and clerk from 1979-1982, for Carson Valley Inn from 1983-1993, for Crown Beverage from 1993-2010. Bruce loved trains, planes and old cars, he loved the GTO that was his grandfather's, it was his dream to have and he did. He loved his family, everything was family to him especially his grandchildren. He left behind his wife of 27 years, Diane, with whom he had a great life; also his son and daughter-in-law Travis and Sydne; stepsons William Wilkinson and girlfriend Julie Ware; Gus Wilkinson and wife Jodi; and Ricky Godsey; grandchildren Paul Lee Hathaway, Nathan Wilkinson, Kelsey Wilkinson, Eric Wilkinson and Anthony Wilkinson. He will be missed by family and friends. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, at Autumn Funerals & Cremations. Private interment will be held at Lone Mountain Cemetery.
