BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - A former Bakersfield police officer has pleaded not guilty to two felony child pornography charges.

Christopher Bowersox entered the plea Friday in U.S. District Court in Fresno.

Court records show investigators found sexual images of young boys, girls and infants on the 38-year-old's computer.

Bowersox was a seven-year veteran of the Bakersfield Police Department where he most recently worked on property and white-collar crime cases. He resigned two days before the FBI arrested him earlier this month.

Bowersox is charged with receiving, distributing and possessing child pornography. If convicted, he faces 30 years in prison.
